Vindicated Spring/Summer Games Announcements!
Vindicated Spring/Summer Games Announcements!
Hey you friendly freak.. okay, I’ve started sentences better in the past, but no time for that!
With COVID-19 running amok like an out of control toddler with rabies, things have been hella hectic.
Plans for people around the world are falling through the floor. Event cancellations, all the jazz.
We over here at Vindicated have suffered from event cancellations, low turn outs, the inability to really get together for content, and more.
But, that’s okay, because we’re going through this together, and we’re here for each other!
Talking about this virus isn’t what you’ve come here for though. You come here to hear about awesome games and so that’s what we’ll be talking about! With that being said, understand that the dates posted for these games are subject to change depending on how the world handles what’s currently going on. You know me though, I’ll do my best to be my best for you!
So without further ado, here’s the game’s we’re looking at…
Spellslingers Plague
Okay. So, I had a surprise announcement. Spellslingers Plague is a Spellslingers stand-alone expansion I recently through together and it player really well… the problem?
Well, because of recent events, the name might be a bit much? Honestly, I was going to still roll with it because it inspired me to use a big portion of the profits to fund a charity. I figured it’d be cool to turn this bit of darkness into light, even if it’s just a little. Additionally, I plan to include official health tips on cards in the game to help advertise cleanliness that will be perpetually relevant, even after this fiasco.
The problem that I recently discovered however is…
Kickstarter dosn’t allow you to donate your money to charity.
Ouch, right? Even with good intentions, it’s a problem with one of their major rules on the platform and since I’m not a rule breaker, I’m going to 100% abide by it. It’s for this reason that I’ll be exchanging the time frame with another Spellslingers related project.
Spellslingers Crossover Series 1!
If you’ve been following me (and Spellslingers) for awhile, then you may have caught wind of these in the past! These will be a full set of characters featured from Otherworlds to bring a great mix to your Spellslingers cards, for some new and exciting fun!
I’m super amped to have these finally released and out into the world.
I’m looking at April 2nd being the launch date via Kickstarter. Important. I understand many people have limited funds at the moment. I’m in no way asking or pressuring you to support me on this one. I fully understand if you can’t spare anything to help with what’s going on.
I did choose this project on purpose, for the low funding goal it’ll have and the low pledge level as well, to help.
But either way, I understand. <3
This is meant to be a small project leading up to some bigger projects, such as…
Otherworlds Core Rulebook
I’m looking at launching OWCRB on May 12th. I couldn’t be happier with how this is coming along and one way or another, the OWCRB will be released by the end of the year, at the very least in a digital form. But, it’ll certainly be available one way or another!
Ghoullotine
Following up after our Summerween streams will be Ghoullotine in July. The targeted Launch date is July 7th. Hopefully, by that time, we’ll have all of the artwork finished and a great ascetic for the Kickstarter. :)
Otherworlds Adventures
We’ve only got one more episode remaining (yay for the finale!). After it ends, we’re looking at experimenting with some possible one shots with different themes, different game masters, and more!
We do plan to return to Otherworlds Adventures, but to continue with having illustrations, we’ll need to run another Kickstarter (somewhere amidst the others haha).
We’re looking at different reward tiers for this next time around, as well as possibly shifting the way we run things for it. Any big changes we make, we’ll likely be seeking the advice and wisdom of our patrons, so if that interests you, you’ll definitely want to become one here.
What about our other games and projects?
Well, if you’re fans of 10,000 Ways to Kill, Cluethulu or some of our other games then these are still being considered and we’re working on them.
They may find their way, wiggling in between the other Kickstarters or they may surface during the second half of this year. It’s too hard for us to see that far ahead at the moment.
10,000 Ways to Kill is currently the weakest of the games I’ve made in my opinion, so I’d definitely want to find a way to revamp it’s humor and excitement.
Cluethulu just needs more playtesting.
Well, that’s enough for now!
Talk about data overload. If you made it this far, be sure to comment below saying “hyped.”
Have a wonderful week and stay safe!
