BLACK PAPER MOON: SOUL PUNK
After three years, Black Paper Moon has stood tall as one of the most successful games Vindicated has ever released. But as proud as I am of it… I knew I could do better.
Looking online, I saw players express something that really stuck with me — they loved the world and tone, but wished the mechanics more directly reflected living out your dream of being a Soul Eater character.
And honestly? They were right.
While I’ll always stand behind the original BPM for its solid and unique mechanics, it was mostly just that — great mechanics with a sprinkle of flavor.
So I asked myself…
What if we doubled—no, tripled—the content?
What if we made the rules even more intuitive, flavorful, and perfectly suited for Soul Eater fans?
What if we expanded the lore of the Vindiverse and made this the definitive way to experience that chaotic, spooky world?
That’s exactly what I set out to do.
All throughout October (even on my birthday!), I’ve been deep in development — listening to Soul Eater soundtracks, Halloween music, and pouring everything I’ve got into this.
