2 Life Changing Mindsets Ice Nine Kills Have Taught Me
Let Me Tell You A Story
It was back in 2012, I was going to this show called, “The All Stars Tour”. The lineup was amazing, but my friends and I showed up around an hour late and missed the opening band.
It was a band I’d never heard of before, “Ice Nine Kills”.
Between song sets, this man walked up to my friends and I and introduced himself as Spencer. He told me he was the vocalist for Ice Nine Kills and handed us some flyers promoting his band.
At the time, I didn’t know just how special his band was and I certainly didn’t have any clue at what they would become. They went from being an opening band to being the band.
Fast Forward To Now
I had just caught word of them coming to my area, two days prior, so I couldn’t get off work.
I worked all day, but man did I want to see them! I got home late, at like 10 pm and questioned if I should even go.
I felt so exhausted and my body didn’t feel like going.
But I told myself, “I don’t want to look back on this moment and regret not going. Our time on Earth is short. It needs to be spent enjoying ourselves, taking chances, and having fun.”
So, my girlfriend and I ended up going and we regret nothing. Ice Nine Kills put on a killer performance and we loved every second of it!
Spencer’s hard work and dedication is truly inspiring! To see what him and the band has become in these years. The line up changes, people not giving them attention, everything.
I’ve been through that myself with Vindicated Entertainment, but it gives me hope and furthers my resolve to keep pushing forward.
My personal experience with this band for the last 5 years have taught me 2 things.
1. If you want to see your dreams realized, then you have to work hard and you have to not be afraid to do anything and everything that you can do.
2. Don’t live in regret. Take action. Be present. Create moments you’ll remember forever.
Thank you so much for the inspiration and being the great band that you are!
